Decks are a great place to relax and entertain—they really are like outdoor family rooms. However, because decks are exposed to the elements as well as a lot of foot traffic, they require maintenance to keep them protected. Help maintain the beauty of your deck by properly staining it!
Solid stains will look like a paint while allowing the wood to breathe. It is a film forming product, so at the end of its life due to weathering, it will begin to peel and crack. Solid stains are a great option for older wood, the solid opaque finish will help to hide imperfections and weathering that has occurred. If you wish to coat your deck with a solid stain you want to ensure it is at least 4 feet off the ground. If it is lower than this moisture tends to get trapped underneath and you will experience product failure much sooner.
Our Sansin DEC and SDF have opaque colours available.
